Unless you air your laundry, divorce in the church is as isolating as a child’s temper tantrum during the Sunday morning service. When my husband of 27 years suddenly and unexpectedly left, it was weeks before my large-church-pastors noticed I was missing from Sunday morning services. And even weeks more before someone called to check in.
Justin Trudeau is feeling shame-faced over his blackface, or in his words, “make-up.” Stunning photos and a video surfaced of Trudeau, known for lecturing opposition candidates from a position of moral superiority. In the following 24 hours he would break all of his own rules.

A change is in the air. A great mellowing is at work. It’s in the breeze, in the trees, inside each and every one of us. And somewhere, not far off, the smoke of backyard firepits is seasoning the darkening sky. Autumn.
My cousin Mark is a big deal. A big, controversial deal. Mark is Dr. Mark Tyndall, one of Canada’s top infectious disease experts. He spent four years conducting HIV research in Kenya. Reuben Celemin is a man on a mission. In March 2016 Reuben shared his dream with me of starting a fitness and faith group for men at North Pointe. Men can get stuck in a rut – so busy taking care of everyone else that they forget themselves. Reuben's group would start with whoever showed up and see where it could go. Men of the Rock (MOTR) hit the ground running on a cold and snowy March Saturday morning. Three years later the group is flying and the men credit Reuben with their inspiration.
