10 INDISPENSABLE BOOKS FOR A VITAL CHRISTIAN LIFE

Choosing which ones would go and which would stay was one of the harder decisions of my life. Books are my friends and I had over one thousand of them in my office at North Pointe. They were a source of wisdom, counsel, challenge, empathy and entertainment for decades – food for my soul. When I was nearing graduation from Eastern Pentecostal Bible College my professors advised me in making a choice between food and books, I should give up food for books. I took them at their word. I ONCE WAS LOST…

I once was lost in the woods, like literally….lost in the woods. It was the first winter camping expedition for army cadets, and I was the civilian officer in charge of 30 grunts. I was arriving late into camp with my fellow officer, it was dark, and we were convinced it was the right drop off point to the camp when we asked our driver to drop us off. It wasn’t. THE FACE OF LEUKEMIA: KATELYN’S STORY

Katelyn is 13 years old, lives in St Albert, Alberta, plays soccer and loves Jesus. She has beautiful blond hair and the prettiest smile in the world. An Emergency Room Katelyn, or as her St Albert Impact soccer teammates know her, “Kate,” was in Calgary for a weekend shopping trip with her mom and sister. On the Friday evening Kate wasn’t feeling very well. When the discomfort persisted into the early morning hours her mom, Amanda, drove Kate to an emergency ward for attention.
