GREG MUSSLEMAN’S STORY: FEAR NOT

Over the years I’ve heard many stories in my travels to countries where Christians are persecuted for their faith in Jesus that defy human understanding. These ordinary people should be terrified and full of fear, but many of them aren’t. Why? I’ve come to realize it’s their faith in Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit that causes them to respond with great courage. One such person is Saratu. This is a guest post from Greg Mussleman, the VP of Media and Domestic Ministry for The Voice of the Martyrs Canada. I've known Greg since he was a sports Broadcaster with TSN and a neighbor in St Albert. Greg travels extensively to Iran, Jordan, Ethiopia, India, North Korea and…

You can experience his creativity on his blogsite, "Scribbles and Snaps."  Tim says "I created this platform to share my experience of constant amazement with bits of our world and slivers of experience, and strive to make photographs and writing reflect those slivers and bits.  My goal is to amuse you, and sometimes make you laugh out loud, to shine a light where shadows exist, to stir emotion, motivate action, think laterally, and to encourage you to experience life more fully through stories told in photographs and pictures painted in words." “My sweet wife has cancer. Its a brutal reality.” Tim Fowler pulled back the curtain on his heart during…

7 CLOUT KILLERS AND HOW TO DEFEAT THEM

I like the word “clout.” Say it out loud. How does it sound? Powerful, right? It instantly conjures up the image of someone who is influential. That's why I like Jenni Catron’s book, “Discover and Unleash Your God-Given Influence.” For the nine years Catron worked in the music business she had a front row seat to the dreamers. It took a crisis of purpose to force her to recognize the shaky foundation upon which she had built all of her own dreams. She had been driven by forces that lulled her into believing she had power that she never had. Catron writes about the fears that can kill clout and the ways in which faith can build a godly kind…
