Kristen Fersovitch released her first CD in December 2012, “Songs From Home.” My disclaimer: I was a fan before I heard it. I can’t help being a promoter after I’ve heard it.

My question: Is Kristen a singer who tells stories? Or is she a storyteller who sings? Behind every song is her story. Kristen opens her home and her heart to reflect on the meaning of each recording. From powerful original songs to classic hymns of faith, this CD will find its own home on your favourites list.

“Songs From Home” includes “Christmastime (You can find Joy),” from the 2011 Singing Christmas Tree. Kristen’s story of her faith-filled battle with cancer inspired the sold out crowds at the Jubilee Auditorium. “Because that baby in a manger/He made a path/He paved my way/He brings me hope for tomorrow/and strength to face each day.”

“It Is Well,” “As the Deer,” “At the Cross” and “In the Presence of Jehovah” will have you spirit soaring and your heart singing along. “Hold On,” “Jacquie’s Song” and “I Trust You” are touching testimonies of faith in action. “So I cast myself aside/In your Word I will abide/Not looking back/I’m letting go/I will trust in you alone.” Kris and her sis, Kennedy, round out the package on “This is Life.”

The CD is 42 minutes long. The music will last a lifetime.

Produced by Wes Caswell and John Cameron Entertainment.

Available from the North Pointe Bookstore. $12 each.

We have been blessed to have known Kristen for many years, when our mom passed away a few years ago we asked Kristen if she would sing at her funeral…..She sang *I can only Imagine*…our friends were sure It was a CD playing- I said **no look over at the Piano -she is sitting right there.*** they were shocked…. Her voice grabs at your heart -and fills it full of Life……I will be so happy to have her CD…………and to buy extras to send to my friends as gifts.
