Take quilt fabrics, thread, time, skill, and love and out comes something beautiful that can change lives.

A friend of ours handcrafted this beautiful quilt as a labour of love. As she was making it, she imagined it helping to raise money for Ukraine. Every stitch became a prayer for peace and generosity for the boys and girls and families in Ukraine.

The quilt is 67″ x 67″. Julie modestly estimates it is worth $250.00

Help is needed now more than ever.

The leaders we work with in eastern Ukraine helped over 5,000 families and the need continues. I’ve been there. I’ve seen how what may seem like a little to us can go so far to save lives.

We have willing workers who sacrifice their modest income to help others who were left with nothing other than the clothes on their backs.

We’re trying to be creative in how this quilt of hope could be used to raise funds for Ukraine. Please send us your ideas.

Hello pastor Bob ! You could probably do a raffle or an auction on the quilt ? It is beautiful !

Perhaps this quilt could be sent on a tour throughout our district churches, and perhaps even across our fellowship. Pastors who are willing could allow for a short clip about both the courage and the needs of our churches and church leaders in Ukraine, ending with a written prayer to be voiced together, and then an opportunity to give. Perhaps even through the mission funds already in place.
Something like this would need to be announced through the District office and/ or Steve in advance.
Logistically this may be too complicated but it doesn’t mean it’s impossible.
Canada as a whole is supporting Ukraine so perhaps our own national support could somehow be woven in.

Be good for Canada Post to provide free delivery across the country.
They need to be part of some good news.
