On Saturday July 26, 2014 I had the privilege of officiating our firstborn son’s wedding. It was a tranquil setting on his fiance’s family’s farm, near Delmas, Saskatchewan.

Four years earlier on May 29th, I had the same pleasure at our youngest son, Jean Marc’s wedding in Edmonton, Alberta.

I am proud of my sons and happy for them and their spouses. There were four things I told them before they got married.

Being a pastor is not something to which I aspired. It certainly wasn’t a childhood dream. By nature, I’m a loner. (My teenage ambition was to be a hermit. Really) By nurture, I’m a people person.
