2020 MARCH MADNESS: COVID-19

March has always been about madness. Watching college basketball teams from Kentucky, Georgetown or North Carolina play in the annual “March Madness” tournament is a rite of spring. I don’t follow basketball, except in March. Not in 2020. The madness this March is a pandemic named COVID-19. (more…)

Canada’s Hopes Rest on a Knuckleball

Canadians are going to learn more about the "knuckleball" today than they ever wanted to know and were afraid to ask. The hopes of a nation hang on a pitch that is at best described as a "eating soup with a fork." Put a little too much spin on the ball or throw it just a little too fast and you're basically serving up a batting-practice pitch that the hitter can feast on.
