People matter to God – those four words sum up who North Pointe is and why we do what do.
The North Pointe family includes people from 85 nations and every continent of the world!
People come as they are. They belong, believe and become the person God created them to be.
10 MEMORIES FROM 2015
ONE: We launched our 3rd Sunday service in September 7, 2014 as an option for people who needed a later service time on a Sunday. This service quickly developed its own unique character. If you haven’t attended a 3rd service yet, come to one this year!
A hi-lite was our Hispanic after-church luncheon with delicious foods from El Salvador and Guatemala cooked by none other than Jose Cano!
We launched a Spanish-speaking home group as well.
TWO: Our five Easter Weekend services set a weekend record attendance of 3,039 people – Good Friday, a Saturday night service and three Sunday services.
Thanks Choir, band, techs and Children’s Ministry volunteers for your dedication in celebrating Jesus. People crossed the faith line and lives were changed!
THREE: What’s with the red balloons? Each balloon represents a person who received Jesus as their personal Saviour through the ministry of North Pointe.
Almost 100 red balloons adorned the platform on Sundays in 2015.
FOUR: Volunteers are ministry champions! 657 people are doing important work at North Pointe. Thank you!
FIVE: We added a 2nd week of DAY CAMP in the summer of 2015 and had over 350 children and adults on campus as campers and volunteers. 82 children prayed to receive Jesus as their Savior and many more made re-commitments of their life to Christ!
Watch for their Water Baptisms during this coming year.
SIX: We’re doing our part to turn the tide of Bible reading in Canada. Just over 100 people of all ages attended the “Walk Thru The Old Testament” experience in November 2015.
SEVEN: Israel and Jordan – the land of the Bible – 32 first-time adventurers enjoyed the trip of a lifetime! Seeing Jerusalem, praying in the Garden of Gethsemane, standing in proximity to where Jesus stood, was a renewed call to walk daily in His footsteps.
Petra, at the moment the sun was rising on the face of the highest towers was none other than glorious. Jocelyn and I were privileged to host the tour. Our next tour is in February 2017. Details here.
EIGHT: Growth has its good challenges. You couldn’t find an empty room in our facility on Tuesday nights. We’re creeping up on a full house on other week nights as well as some of our Sunday services. Listen for info on a proposed onsite satellite campus.
NINE: $230,000 was used to feed the poor, house HIV/AIDS orphans, support missionaries and missions works in Rwanda, Ethiopia, Burundi, Mexico and Canada. NP came to the aid of people devastated in the wake of disasters in Nepal and the Philippines through ERDO. We held our 4th Annual Walk Run Ride for Hope!
TEN: 2,986 – that’s how many people now call North Pointe their church “family.” Each one is known by a pastor or ministry leader and is prayed over regularly.
BONUS: 1,000,000 – that’s the number of people we expect to influence each year through North Pointe Ministries. That is our BHAG – one million people on campus, in small groups, at community events, through our online broadcasts, and Social Media influence through our blog and Facebook postings, etc.
