Humans of NY Vidal

The most famous photograph from Brandon Stanton’s book, Humans of New York: Stories is of a boy in an open black bubble jacket.

The world learned that the most influential person in Vidal’s life was Nadia Lopez, his principal at Mott Hall. A feature on Lopez’s devotion to her students yielded Vidal and Lopez a meeting with President Obama, in the Oval Office.

This series of events – from photograph to popular phenomenon – is in many ways a perfect realization of the ethos of stories.

Everybody’s Got A Story

Like New York, there’s a ton of great stories at North Pointe. The stories are too wonderful to keep to ourselves.

Combine the stories with the skilled photographers in the North Pointe community and we have the beginnings of a powerful platform.

In January 2017 we begin celebrating a century of devotion. What better way to party than to share picture stories of people and families as a testimony of God’s love and redemption.camera

How Does, “HUMANS OF NORTH POINTE” Sound To You?

Twice a week, starting November 2nd, we’ll post a shareable picture and a paragraph that tells somebody’s story from North Pointe.

They’ll feature “come as your are” experiences – noteworthy, real, funny, thought provoking, inspiring to prayer.

We want to share your story.  Who knows where a story can travel or take the story teller.

North Pointe’s goal is to reach 1,000,000 people in a year with the love of Jesus. Let’s make Humans of North Pointe an initiative that helps propel us to reach the goal in 2017.
