Of all the many virtues, only patience has a saying associated with it - "Patience is a virtue." That's bad news for patience. Patience as a virtue is seen as a weak sister to the other virtues. However, "have patience" is not a passive, psychological ploy to placate people plateaued on their pilgrimage to achievement. Patience is robust. Its a heroic word, on par with "endurance" and "perseverance." THE VALUE OF PATIENCE Patience is most remarkable when life is most uncomfortable. ARE YOU IN GOD’S WAITING ROOM?

WAIT is a word we hate...at least I do. I get frustrated waiting on fast food or waiting behind the slow car in the fast lane. Aren’t we all in a rush to get to the next place or the next thing? My cell phone battery malfunctions at the worst of times. “I just had 34% battery life and now it's dead!” Waiting for the phone to recharge only takes a few minutes but feels like eons. “Come on!” We live in one of the most individualistic cultures in the world, which means we want what we want — and we want it now, and it better be quick and easy. 3 THINGS I TOLD THE FATHER OF MY GRANDDAUGHTERS ABOUT PARENTING

Our youngest son and his wife have blessed us with two gems – Quinn Marie and Lena Grace. I am reminded of their middle names because I heard both being used during a family gathering. You know you're in trouble when your mom or dad uses your full name, right? My son asked me if I ever got impatient with him when he was little.
