There is no doubt that God works in miraculous ways. Look to the stars or the flowers. And then think about how you can see.
See A Miracle Everyday
1. Remember: YOU are a miracle.
Have you forgotten that?
Your conception and birth were miracles.
That’s not a religious opinion. That’s just life as it is.
Even non-religious people can’t get over the “miraculous” nature of conception:
In a recent talk at TEDx San Francisco, Mel Robbins, a riotously funny self-help author, mentioned that scientists estimate the probability of your being born at about one in 400 trillion.
When you really think about the odds against your mother or your father being conceived, and then your being conceived as a result, and in fact any human being conceived at all, it is phenomenal that we are sitting here today, in front of our computers. It is indeed a miracle.
The Awe of Life
I was in the delivery room with Jocelyn when she gave birth to each of our sons.
Time freezes in these moments.
They are sacred. And scary.
Awe-filled.
2. Life is a miracle.
“God himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else…we are God’s offspring.” Acts 17:25, 29 (NIV)
“In God’s hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.” Job 12:10
3. Miracles are the restoration of the natural order.
A miracle is not the suspension of natural laws or order. Miracles restore a sin-cursed world to the natural order. Health. Strength. Perfection.
Miracles heal a world where it is broken.
